by Gladys Diaz\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Question for you\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n Do you tend to rush into relationships?<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n In our work with women all over the world, there is something that comes up frequently.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n No matter where they\u2019re from, how old they are, and what they\u2019re life experience in love has been – they all say the same thing:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n They have a tendency to rush into relationships.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Do you have this\u00a0 pattern, too?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Do you find yourself wondering, after just a date or two, when he\u2019s going to make it official?\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Do you rush to meet his close friends and family? <\/span><\/i> Do you rush to move in together?\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Do you feel like you want to marry him before you\u2019re even officially in a relationship?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n We know that when you meet someone you\u2019re attracted to and enjoy spending time with, that there\u2019s a natural tendency to want to be with them\u2026 <\/span>a lot<\/span><\/i>, to dream about what could happen, and that this triggers the desire to want to move fast.<\/span><\/p>\n The thing is that\u00a0 there\u2019s this beautiful phase in the beginning of a relationship, and when you rush, you cheat yourself out of those special feelings and experiences that only happen then.<\/b><\/p>\n The other, even more important thing, is that when you go too fast, you miss the opportunity to really get to know someone and can end up missing red flags.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While dating, you want to be <\/b>aware<\/b> and <\/b>awake<\/b>.<\/b> You want to notice the things that he does, learn about him and who he is, and be curious about what being with him is like.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n You want to take the time to really get to know someone before you jump into a relationship, because the physical chemistry can be there, but if the character of the man isn\u2019t aligned with the kind of relationship you want to have,\u00a0 then it won\u2019t\u00a0 work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The fact is that after just one or two dates, you don\u2019t know if this is the relationship of your dreams. Knowing that takes time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n So, what has women rush into relationships?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n Fear.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n You may be afraid that if it doesn\u2019t work with him, it\u2019s never going to happen.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n You may be worried that if you wait too long, you won\u2019t be able to have kids.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Or maybe you think that he\u2019ll get bored and move on if you don\u2019t \u201ccatch him\u201d fast.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n How do you shift out of this fear?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n \n <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n Remember that feelings are fleeting. You need to give yourself (and him as well) time to really get clear and be sure that what you\u2019re experiencing together is aligned with the relationship of your dreams.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
