This week, my husband and I created a really intimate moment, and I just wanted to share it with all of you.<\/p>\n

I have been wanting to make an investment in growing my business to a whole new level for over a year.\u00a0 There is a particular coach who, from the first free video I saw of her, reached me in a way others have not.\u00a0 I\u2019ve followed her, read every blog post she posts, watched her videos and live stream events, and have even won a couple of free consultations with her. \u00a0Earlier this year, I joined her Inner Circle Coaching group, and, aside from learning so much about what I can do to grow my business, I\u2019ve made some pretty amazing new friends who inspire and encourage me.\u00a0 And, in spite of all of this, I was afraid to make the investment in my business, because it felt like \u201ctoo much.\u201d<\/p>\n

I finally made the choice to hire her as my coach, with her unshakable encouragement and stand for me.\u00a0 And<\/i> I had no idea<\/i> how I was going to manage the payments.\u00a0 But I wanted to do what I tell my clients to do: Recognize your fear as a fear, and step outside of it, because that\u2019s where miracles happen!

\nWhen my husband walked into my office I shared with him what I wanted to do and how I wanted to work with this coach.\u00a0 I shared my vision of how I want to empower women around the world to have a loving, peaceful, passionate lifelong marriage, because that\u2019s what they deserve!\u00a0 I shared with him how afraid I was, and how tired<\/i> I am of choosing to be \u201cstuck.\u201d And I shared with him how afraid I felt and how my commitment to the women I work with is bigger<\/i> <\/strong>than my fear.<\/p>\n

I wish I could tell you that I was \u201cstrong\u201d and \u201cbusiness-like\u201d during this conversation.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t.\u00a0 I was vulnerable.\u00a0 As much as I love my husband, it still felt a little scary to be that open, that \u201craw\u201d with him about just how much<\/i> I want to make a difference in the world.\u00a0 I just kept moving past my fear, telling myself \u201cYou don\u2019t have to be afraid.\u00a0 You\u2019re safe with him.\u00a0 He \u2018gets\u2019 you.\u00a0 He loves and believes in you.\u201d<\/i> So I poured out my heart to the man who holds it in his hands, anyway, and just let all of my tears, fears, passions, and dreams flow freely.<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t share this with him to get a response.\u00a0 I just wanted to share my heart with him.\u00a0 What I got in return was so much more than I could have anticipated!<\/p>\n

Him: Are you really, 100% committed to doing this?<\/i><\/p>\n

Me: Yes.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/i><\/p>\n

Him: Are you willing to do whatever it takes?\u00a0 No matter how hard, how much time it takes, or whether you \u201cfeel like it\u201d or not?<\/i><\/p>\n

Me: Yes.<\/i><\/p>\n

Him: I get your commitment, and since you say that you are 100% committed to doing this, I will give<\/b> you the first month\u2019s payment as your Christmas present.\u00a0 That\u2019s<\/strong> how much I believe in you!<\/i><\/p>\n

\u2026 Wow! I really got how much he believes in me<\/i><\/b> and what I do.\u00a0 How much he wants<\/i> to help me help women have the relationships they deserve and desire!<\/p>\n

And, this wasn\u2019t even \u201cthe best part,\u201d because what happened next is the part that really filled me with so much love and admiration for this man who I am blessed enough to be loved by!<\/p>\n

All of a sudden, my husband just started sharing with me about his <\/i>commitments.\u00a0 See, my husband is really committed<\/i> to his health and well-being.\u00a0 He arranges his life, his food choices, and his schedule around working out, eating right, and cutting out the things that aren\u2019t good for him (sugar, alcohol, caffeine).\u00a0 Three years ago, you wouldn\u2019t have been able to get him off the couch!\u00a0 And now he makes sure he\u2019s working out 60- 90 minutes a day \u2013 even when he doesn\u2019t \u201cfeel like it.\u201d\u00a0 Even when he\u2019s tired.\u00a0 Even if it means changing his schedule around.\u00a0 (It\u2019s amazing what happens when you stop nagging your husband, accept him as he is, and just let him be who he is!<\/i>)\u00a0 So, when he was asking me those questions about my commitment, I didn\u2019t get \u201ctriggered\u201d or upset, thinking that he was \u201cquestioning\u201d my commitment.\u00a0 He leads by example.\u00a0 It\u2019s why I admire and respect him \u2013 Well, it\u2019s one <\/i>of the reasons I admire and respect him!<\/p>\n

As my husband shared why working out and eating right are so important to him, I made it a point to really<\/i> listen.\u00a0 I looked in his eyes and beyond his eyes, into his heart.\u00a0 I heard the conviction in his voice, and was surprised by how passionately he feels about this.\u00a0 See, I knew it was important to him, but now I got to hear why<\/i>\u2026 I just sat there, and, as he spoke, I really heard <\/i>and saw <\/i>him \u2013 this incredibly amazing man \u2013 and I fell in-love with him all over again!<\/p>\n

In that conversation around our goals and dreams, we created a beautiful, intimate moment I\u2019ll never forget.\u00a0 Not \u201cintimate\u201d in the sense that most people think, where you\u2019re physically <\/i>intimate (we have that, too, just not during this<\/i> conversation!).\u00a0 it was intimate in the sense that I allowed him to look into my heart and soul, see how scared I am, how much I want this, and how I\u2019m taking a huge leap of faith in making this investment. And allowing myself to be vulnerable in this way created a space where he was able to share something that is important to him<\/i> and why it matters to him<\/i>.\u00a0 And, because of this, we can now continue to encourage, support, and lift one another up in achieving one another\u2019s goals and dreams!<\/p>\n

That\u2019s <\/i><\/strong>what intimacy is all about \u2013 a deep emotional and spiritual connection that the two of you create together.\u00a0 A tender conversation.\u00a0 A moment that is all yours.\u00a0 A memory that will get you through the tough times.\u00a0 A moment in time that reminds you that, in this big and sometimes scary world, you\u2019re not alone anymore!<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s <\/i><\/strong>what I want for you<\/strong>, too!<\/p>\n
