This morning, one of my first thoughts was about YOU!\u00a0 Why?<\/span><\/p>\n

See, today is July 7th<\/sup>, and it\u2019s sort of my <\/strong>Independence Day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Three years ago today I received a phone call that I had been dreading<\/em> for years.\u00a0 My boss called me with someone from the HR Department on the line to let me know that they were eliminating my position.\u00a0 I wish I could tell you that I was the picture of grace and ease on that phone all, and I\u2019d be lying to you if I said that.\u00a0 I was a mess!\u00a0 I was crying, begging, and pleading.\u00a0 I was trying to explain to them how my family really relied on my income, and it didn’t make a difference. They were simply eliminating my position.<\/span><\/p>\n

What does any of this have to do with\u00a0YOU?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t until several months later that I was able to see something that I hadn\u2019t been able to see before.\u00a0 I was driving in my car, on my way to a woman\u2019s business conference where I was speaking to women about how having a really great relationship requires us to be willing to take even bigger risks than the ones we take in our businesses, because we\u2019re taking emotional risks.\u00a0 \u00a0As I was practicing my talk, it was like one of those moments in a movie, where a ray of light comes and I was able to see what I couldn\u2019t see before.\u00a0 That was that , on that conversation with my boss, where they had told me that they were eliminating my position, they actually had offered me another position<\/em>.\u00a0 It was a position where I would be making the same amount of money that I had been making before, but I was going to be to traveling 80% of the time. \u00a0I simply wasn\u2019t willing to settle for that.\u00a0 I simply wasn\u2019t willing to make that type of sacrifice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where all these months I had been saying that I\u2019d \u201clost my job,\u201d I saw in that moment that I<\/em><\/strong> had said, \u201cNo, thank you<\/em>,\u201d that I had walked away<\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0I<\/em><\/strong> had claimed my independence from that job!<\/span><\/p>\n

I also saw how it was in the weeks and months after that time, that I would share with people that I had lost my job, and they would say things like, \u201cThat\u2019s Great! Now you can focus full-time on Heart\u2019s Desire,\u201d \u201cNow you can do relationship coaching full-time,\u201d \u201cNow you can finish your book!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And, every time somebody said that, I\u2019d get so angry<\/em>! (Even my kids were saying this!) But, you know, you\u2019ve got to look at the signs in your life, and if enough people are saying the same thing, you might<\/em> want to listen!<\/span><\/p>\n

So I started to listen and I started to wonder, \u201cWhat if I could really make this my career?\u201d <\/em>I had been saying for years that I wanted to do relationship coaching full-time but I couldn\u2019t<\/em> because of my job.<\/em> I\u2019d said it enough times, that God and the Universe heard me!<\/span><\/p>\n

So I started to wonder, \u201cWhat if I could do it?\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I started thinking of all of the women who I had worked with when I was doing this on the side, how they\u2019d come to me hopeless, thinking that they were never going to be in a loving relationship or that they were going to be unhappy forever in their current relationships, and now they were living in the relationship of their dreams!<\/strong> If they were married, they weren\u2019t just \u201chappily married.\u201d They were blissfully married to their husbands.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

And I really started to believe that I could do this full-time.<\/span><\/p>\n

And that\u2019s where YOU came in! That\u2019s why I thought of YOU this morning!<\/span><\/p>\n

Because YOU \u2013 and, yes, I\u2019m talking specifically to YOU<\/strong> \u2013 you\u2019re part of my mission to have every single woman on this planet experience the joy of loving and being loved every single day of your life!<\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019re what gets me up in the morning. You\u2019re what I go to bed thinking about at night.\u00a0 It\u2019s what I pray for. You\u2019re what I work for when I don\u2019t feel like going on anymore, because I\u2019m tired!\u00a0 It\u2019s knowing that this is my passion \u2013 that this my purpose \u2013 that keeps me going.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, I just wanted to say, \u201cThank you!\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you for being part of my purpose-filled life.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
