This week, I\u2019ve been dealing with a really bad cold, but, as \u201cluck\u201d would have it, the cold provided me with more evidence of the 3 P\u2019s to share with you, because my husband has gone\u00a0above and beyond\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>this week to do everything in his power to Provide<\/a><\/span> for, Protect<\/a><\/span>, and (wait for it\u2026) Please<\/strong><\/span> me!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s right! The third \u201cP\u201d most important to a man is that he feels like he is able to\u00a0Please<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>you.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, this may be difficult for you to believe if you\u2019re either not in a great relationship, or it\u2019s been a while since you\u2019ve felt like a man has gone out of his way to make you happy. But trust me, this one is right up there with the other two P\u2019s as something that is\u00a0essential<\/em>\u00a0to a man.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Why is pleasing you\u00a0<\/em>so important to him<\/em>?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Well, no\u00a0good man<\/em>\u00a0ever wakes up in the morning saying,\u00a0\u201cI wonder what I can do today to make her absolutely miserable!\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

First of all, if you\u2019re miserable, chances are you are making him miserable, too!<\/span><\/p>\n

Secondly, it really does<\/em> make a man feel fulfilled and complete to know that he is capable of making you feel happy.<\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll often here me say:<\/span><\/p>\n

A man doesn\u2019t just want to see you smiling. He also wants to know that he<\/span> had something to do with the smile on your face!<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/span> (Tweet, Tweet that one!)
\n<\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

When a man has the consistent experience that nothing <\/em>he does is good enough, or that \u201cthere\u2019s just no pleasing you,\u201d it makes him want to withdraw and stop trying. He doesn\u2019t want to know that he\u2019s doing anything that is causing you to feel disappointed or unhappy. It simply doesn\u2019t feel \u201cgood\u201d or \u201cright\u201d to him to know that he\u2019s contributing to your un<\/span>happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, what are some ways that you can help a man contribute to your happiness?<\/span><\/p>\n

Stop making what makes you happy a secret!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Let him know what makes you happy.<\/strong> If there are things that you enjoy, like, or prefer, make let him know. If there is something you\u2019d like to eat, an item you\u2019d like to purchase, or a place you\u2019d like to visit, tell him. Now, don\u2019t tell him what to do or how to do it. Just let him know that it\u2019s something that would make you happy. Let him figure out how to make it happen if he chooses to<\/em>. Don\u2019t make him try to guess or figure out what you want. Instead, set him up to win, because when he wins, you win!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. If something he does pleases you, inform your face! In other words: SMILE!<\/strong> Don\u2019t keep your happiness a secret because you feel like you\u2019ll owe him something or you feel like he\u2019ll stop trying. In fact, the very opposite is true. The positive feeling of knowing that he did something to make you smile is like a drug to man. He\u2019s going to want to repeat that feeling \u2013 for you and <\/em>himself \u2013 again, so you\u2019ve just increased <\/em>the chances that he\u2019ll look for other ways to please you.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Show<\/span> your appreciation. <\/strong>Don\u2019t withhold your appreciation in an effort to seem like what he did is \u201cno big deal.\u201d You know how great it feels when you do something nice for someone and they let you know how much it meant to them. He\u2019s no different. Letting him know that you are both happy and grateful for what he did will go a long way toward creating a wonderful cycle of giving, receiving, and appreciation in your relationship!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        A good man will always do what he cans to please you.<\/span><\/p>\n

        If you feel like the man in your life has stopped doing the little things to make you happy, rather than looking outward at what he\u2019s doing (or not doing; or not doing \u201cwell enough\u201d) \u2013<\/span><\/p>\n
