<\/p>\nIn an effort to connect with our readers a little more, I decided to take part in a 30-day blogging challenge.\u00a0 This means that, for the next 30 days I will be posting a blog article per day, primarily in the form of a Heart\u2019s Desire Thought of the Day.\u00a0 Each day, I will post a quote, a reflection, and a question that you can answer in the comments section.\u00a0 I hope that this 30-day journey will bring us all closer to our heart\u2019s desires!<\/p>\n
I decided to begin with Happiness, because, in the end, isn\u2019t that what we all truly want to experience?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n — Denis Waitley<\/em><\/p>\n It\u2019s tempting to think \u201cI\u2019ll be happy when\u2026\u201d<\/em> But happiness is not something that can be found anywhere, in anything, or in anyone outside of our selves. At times, what has us feel unhappy is that we are not willing to accept things, situations, and people \u2013 including ourselves \u2013 as they are.\u00a0 We feel that it, they, or we should somehow be different<\/em>.\u00a0 However, the path to finding true happiness begins with acceptance, grace, and gratitude.<\/p>\n This is why, whether you are single, dating, or in a relationship, it\u2019s important to remember that you \u2013 and only you<\/em> are responsible for your own happiness.\u00a0 Too many times, relationships either end or aren\u2019t even given the chance to begin because we make the person we\u2019re with responsible for our happiness.\u00a0 This puts an unnecessary burden and responsibility on the other person.\u00a0 This causes the person seeking happiness in the relationship to have unrealistic expectations of the other person, \u201cclinginess\u201d or \u201cneediness,\u201d constantly looking for or trying to draw out \u201cevidence\u201d of the other person\u2019s feelings, and consistently feeling upset and disappointed when all of our unrealistic expectations are not met.<\/p>\n A woman who is happy with her life, who finds joy in it, and lives in a spirit of love, grace, and gratitude is attractive<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 not only in the physical<\/em> sense of the word, but in the sense that she attracts<\/em> to herself more love, grace, and things for which to be grateful.\u00a0 And when she does meet or is in a relationship with someone, he has the opportunity to become part of her life and happiness \u2013 to add to it and enhance, rather than be responsible for it!<\/p>\n Are you happy today?
