I want you to ask yourself a question, and I invite you to be 100% honest with yourself as you answer…<\/p>\n

Are you still holding onto a past relationship?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The reason I ask you is because I was speaking with someone earlier this week who has spent almost a year completely consumed with the ending of her relationship.<\/p>\n

She is having trouble focusing, working on her business, and it\u2019s beginning to impact her health and friendships.<\/p>\n

Now, I want you to know.\u00a0 This is\u00a0not<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0a \u201cweak woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

She is a strong, successful woman who knows herself to be powerful and is not<\/em> afraid of facing challenges.<\/p>\n

Still, when it comes to this heartbreak, it\u2019s been hard to get over what happened,\u00a0let<\/span>\u00a0go<\/span>\u00a0of the pain, and move forward with her life.<\/p>\n

The thought of opening her heart and trusting someone new feels terrifying, and, while she really does want to be in a loving relationship, she just doesn\u2019t know if she is ready to do that yet.<\/p>\n

The reason I\u2019m sharing this with you is because I know how hard it can be to\u00a0let<\/span>\u00a0go<\/span>\u00a0of a past love and even\u00a0consider<\/em>\u00a0the thought or possibility of loving and being loved by someone new.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fear of having your heart broken again may actually be stopping you from even admitting that you\u00a0want\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>a relationship.<\/p>\n

So, you throw yourself into your work.<\/p>\n

You tell yourself you\u2019re \u201cokay\u201d with being single.<\/p>\n

You do anything and everything to avoid interacting or connecting with the opposite sex.<\/p>\n

Or\u2026 you\u00a0go<\/span>\u00a0to the other extreme and have a lot of casual, dead-end \u201cmicro-relationships\u201d with men you know are not interested in anything other than \u201changing out\u201d or hooking up.<\/p>\n

You try not to\u00a0feel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
