{"id":8589,"date":"2019-11-08T19:04:22","date_gmt":"2019-11-08T19:04:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/heartsdesireintl.com\/home\/?p=8589"},"modified":"2021-02-22T19:39:07","modified_gmt":"2021-02-23T00:39:07","slug":"are-you-ready-to-get-over-it-and-move-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/heartsdesireintl.com\/home\/are-you-ready-to-get-over-it-and-move-on\/","title":{"rendered":"Are You Ready To Get Over It And Move On?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section fb_built=&#8221;1&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;3.22&#8243; custom_padding=&#8221;80px|0px|30px|0px|false|false&#8221;][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;3.25&#8243;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;3.25&#8243; custom_padding=&#8221;|||&#8221; custom_padding__hover=&#8221;|||&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;3.27.4&#8243; custom_padding=&#8221;||0px|||&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366;\">by Gladys Diaz\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is your past keeping you from having the future you desire?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Are you unable to get over an ex, no matter what you do?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Are you so afraid of getting your heart broken like you did last time, that you\u2019re stopping yourself from being available?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Are you scared that you\u2019ll choose the wrong man yet AGAIN and end up brokenhearted and?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you see how these are all fears that are being triggered by something you experienced in the past?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>If you don\u2019t overcome your past, your past will be present in your present and impact your future.\u00a0 Which is a shame, because your past is not a <\/b><b><i>predictor<\/i><\/b><b>, it\u2019s an <\/b><b><i>informer<\/i><\/b><b>.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What does that mean?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It means that, just because you chose an abusive man in the past, doesn\u2019t mean you will do it again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It means that just because your last boyfriend cheated on you and the relationship ended in massive heartache for you, doesn\u2019t mean the next man will do this, too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Your past experiences don\u2019t determine what you will continue to experience IF you do the <\/b><b><i>HeartWork<\/i><\/b><b> to replace the fears that created them.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We all have fears. We are all humans walking around afraid of what someone else might do to us, worrying we may mess up, or that something might go wrong. Fear is part of the human condition. We can\u2019t eliminate it, but we can learn to overpower it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The trick is learning how to break through any patterns of fear and anxiety that are <\/b><b><i>stopping<\/i><\/b><b> you from living the life and creating the future you desire.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The crazy thing about fear is that the energy of fear is magnetic. When you are living in a space of fear around anything, you are energetically and subconsciously attracting that to you. This means that <\/span><b>until you do the work to release the fear, you WILL continue to experience it.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So how do you release fear?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can learn to release fear by going through our \u201cIn-the-Moment Fear Exercise. Trust us, making this exercise a practice you do all the time <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">change your life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Moment of Fear Exercise<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px; font-weight: bold;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px; font-weight: bold;\">1. Recognize what got triggered inside of you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Realize this:\u00a0 When you experience a fear, it isn\u2019t\u00a0 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that got t triggered, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">something<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> inside of you got triggered \u2014\u00a0 a past experience, a fear, an anxiety that\u2019s been developed over time. When that thing gets triggered, you can do 1 of 2 things.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">You can\u2026\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">a) Go into your automatic response of either blowing up or shutting down (it\u2019s called fight or flight.\u00a0 We\u2019re sure you\u2019ve heard of it.)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">OR<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">b) STOP and recognize that something has been triggered and then move on to step 2 in the exercise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note: This acknowledgement happens in a split-second, so it does take some practice to gain the awareness to recognize the trigger in the moment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"><strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"><strong>2. Ask yourself: What just happened?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s important that you answer this question with only the facts about what <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">actually happened, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with no interpretation or analysis of the event(s) that just took place. It usually can be answered with as few as 3-10 words.\u00a0 Anything longer is a clue that you making what happened mean something.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"><strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"><strong>3. Ask yourself: What did I make it mean?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What did you decide it meant when that guy you just went out with didn\u2019t call the next day?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What did you make it mean when you saw your date going to the bathroom with his phone?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Did you create the idea that because he didn\u2019t call you it means you\u2019re not dateable?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Did you decide that because your date took his phone into the bathroom it meant he was texting another girl?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The majority of the time, whatever is upsetting you, robbing you of your peace, and\/or causing you fear is not what <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">actually <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">happened.\u00a0 What\u2019s upsetting you is whatever you made what mean \u2014 about him, you, them, it\u2026 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">everything!<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"><strong>4. Ask yourself: Is that what really happened?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because our brain cannot tell the difference between what is <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">actually <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">happening and what we\u2019re afraid might or might not be happening, this is the life-altering part of this exercise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you take what you made an experience mean and compare it to what actually happened, you start to see reality and <\/span><b>the fear disappears<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michelle was talking to a client the other day, and walking her through this exercise. A man had asked her what was wrong with her that she is in her 40\u2019s and has never been in a long-term relationship. She made that experience mean that she is a failure in everything in her life, and that it\u2019s never going to work for her.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As Michelle walked her through this exercise, she did what we all do: find ways to justify what we\u2019ve made it mean. \u201cBut I <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">haven\u2019t <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">been in a relationship, so I <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">am<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a failure!\u201d \u201cMy business isn\u2019t working right now, and it <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">never<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will!.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michelle asked her, \u201cIs \u2018never\u2019 happening right now?\u201d \u201cDoes because it hasn\u2019t\u2019 worked mean it <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">never <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will?\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of course, the answer to these questions is \u201cno,\u201d and once she saw that, she started laughing and her desire to continue the journey in her business and dating was renewed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What about you?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What do you want to experience in your life?
